| With our eldest (7 months old) he was trained to "leave" from an early age. He'll even leave roast chicken if we tell him to. When he started to eat poo, he soon stopped with 'leave' ( tho' he will still roll in goose droppings, yukk). The leave command was part of a progressive training program using a 'clicker'. My advice would be to go to obedience classes and work from there. Failing that, don't let him lick your face |

| I'll assume he's raiding the cat litter box.... try adding cottage cheese (a little bit) to his diet and then block his access to the cat box.

I read something about mixing pineapple in with their food, I think it is suppose to give the poo a taste they don't like, can't imaging why they wouldn't like it without the pineapple, yuck!..but seems some do I would advise you not to smack your dog, it really isn't something that you should do, and dogs do not understand smacking. Hmm, just reread and failed to notice the first time that it was kittys poop he was eating!! I'm not sure if feeding the cat pineapple would help!

| My yorkie used to eat her poop too; I read about the pineapple and thought I'd give that a try. I bought the little chunks of pineapple, and gave her one of those (cut into tiny pieces) with her 2 daily meals. Within just a few days, she completely stopped eating her poo! Someone told me the pineapple further digests the protein so the poo is not as appealing to them.

| So the yorkie is eating cat poop? Be very careful with that! If they eat cat litter it's very dangerous, esp the clumping kind.
