| My baby girl isn't eating as much...could something be wrong? Hi Everyone, My baby girl Bella is not eating as much as she used to. She doesn't seem sick - she is still very energetic and full of life and fun. She loves to be outside and she runs around and has fun in the backyard. She drinks and she does eat but it's not as much as she used to. This has been going on for a few weeks. She is teething also. Could this be the reason she's not eating much? She'll take kibble from my hand. I'm worried that something may be wrong. Thanks, Ricky |

| Do you free fed or go on schedule? If it has been going on for a few weeks and they aren't losing any weight and seem to be acting normal then I wouldn't worry to much about it, they are getting older and the younger the pup in my experience the more they eat... always wondered if it had to do with fighting their litter mates for the food LOL At any rate if you are worried you can always give a little extra's, cottage cheese is a nice treat .. and don't forget with these tiny ones if you are giving treats in between meals they fill up easy

| When Gracie Ruth was teething she had a lot of trouble crunching her kibble. I would put some in a sandwich bag and crack it with a hammer for her. That way it was even smaller pieces and she didn't have to bite down on the kibble to break it up to chew, it was already broken up. She didn't have any trouble chewing, just biting the pieces so that she could chew them. You might give this a try and see if it doesn't help her to eat more.
