| Heartworm and worm pills We live in Mexico in a very heavy mozzy area so I understand that the heartworm pill must be taken monthly, correct? Also, he should get a worm pill every 3 months? I only speak Spanish to my vet so I just want to make sure I'm getting it correct. |

| Heartworm meds should be given monthly. If you use Heartgard Plus or Interceptor, some intestinal parasites are covered already. You can deworm often but most people don't unless there is a positive fecal.

| These are like Frontline? If so, we can only get Frontline down here so he gets an application of Frontline monthly. |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | Frontline just covers fleas and ticks. Your vet will have the products Ellie May mentioned. Make sure you only get the heartworm meds AND the frontline from your vet. There have been recent counterfeit products on teh market that are sold elsewhere.

You'd have to use something like Interceptor, Sentnel or heartgard for heartworms. If you want a separate dewormer, depending on the worms you want them to work against, you can get something like Strongid or Panacur.
