Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Ugh! Fish Farts!! I got a free sample of Wellness lamb, Barley & Salmon flavor. She ate it and now she has fish farts! I took her to Petsmart on a treat trip and I could smell her in the car and in the store. I kept hoping people didn't think it was me! I don't think I want her to have this anymore, she smells like the cats litter box! UGH!

| OMG, that is funny. Not the fish farts, but not wanting people to think it was you...LOL I am still laughing. Maybe she just needs time to adjust to the new food and maybe the fish farts will go away.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I sure hope so, I had to put the windows down on the way home and I still got a whiff now and then. She's so cute but smells BAD!

| LOL. Eh, when Jackson was switching foods he had some NASTY farts too but they have totally stopped. He rotates between the Wellness Chicken flavor and Before Grain.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | did you gradually switch or just do the switch cold turkey? if you did it cold turkey that could be the reason for the smell. her digestive tract just needs some time to work it out.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I put half cup of the old and half cup of the new food in her dish and mixed it with my hand before feeding.

| When I switched Apple's food from Eukanuba to Innova, she had a little off color gas for the first few days...After about a week, no probs anymore...I switched her very slowly 75% old food to 25% new for the first 3 days, then 50-50 for 3 days, then 25% new to 75%old for 3 days, then all new on the 10th day...I'm sure, if you want to feed your dog that food, it'll work out if you go slowly... p.s...I'm sure the ppl thought it was you (just kidding lol) Maggie & Apple |

to start with you really should only put a few of the new kibbles in for a few days. then add a few more. it should take you at least 2 weeks if you have a dog with a sensitive stomach (gas is included). Sweet Apple has a good method.

Thanks for the tip I'll mix the food a little more carefully now.
