| Size and rapid growth???? I got Abbi on Feb 20 at about 18 weeks. She was 1.2 pounds. March 11 I took her to fthe vet and she was 1.4 pounds. Took her to the vet's today, just to check her weight as she seems to have had a growth spurt and darned if she doesn't weight 2.3 pounds. Does that sound normal? She is about 26 weeks old. She'll be 6 months old on April 20. Michele :-) |

| I'm no expert but that seems pretty normal to me. Tucker was 3.2 pounds when we got him at 17 weeks and he has grown to be about 7.5 pounds at 2 years old.

| I noticed a big growth spurt w/Apple, between 4 and 5 months...She was gaining about oz. or so a week from 3-4 months, then at her 5 month check up, she'd gained 10 oz.! She weighed 3 1/2 lbs. @ 5 months, and only 2 lb. 14 oz. @ 4...I'm so glad, because I didn't think she would make 5 lbs, and I wanted her too, so much, since they seem to have less health problems at that weight.... Maggie & Apple xoxoxox p.s....she will be 6 months old on April 31st. |
