| Is My Puppy Too Fat??? I took Marley to the vet today. He is 3 months old. His check-up went well. On his last visit the vet said he had an undescended testicle and this visit he said he had both testicles. That was great news! I'm wondering about his weight though. He weighed 4.1 pounds. Is this too much???

| I had to come look,(pics please)I love fat puppies. I don't know if this means he is fat.It could mean he will be a larger pup like chachi said.If he is healthy and gets around fine he will outgrow the puppy fat as he gets older.I would like to see pics of this chubby wubby.

| I don't think weight is a true fat indicator for pups & dogs. There are other ways to tell, & the vet should have said something if your pup was fat. I think you have to wait several months & see what his body composition looks like. Enjoy his puppiness

| OHHH he is soooooooooo adorable.I don't think he is fat. I think he has a thick frame which I love. Thanks for sharing your beautiful boy. Oh and I ment to say, you still have time for his testicle to descend,it can take up to a year.I would wait to see if they descend then neuter,if you are going to neuter. Then they won't have to go poking around inside him.

YT 2000 Club Member | I had my little guy done at 4 months, however I think the recommendation from vets is usally around 6 months or so. My guy is on the thick side too, he doesnt have an ounce of fat on him, but he is solid as rock. Your baby is a cutie!!

| There is lots of info on the web concerning the best time to neuter.I personally think a year is good.No offense to others but I would wait a year. As for dog lifting their legs when not neutered,I firmly believe that this has not to do with the neuter as opposed to the individual dog.I have 2 boys had three and none lifted their leg in my home.My cousin has a boy and a girl and he has never been bred but he lifts his leg in her home, always has. Some one will come along and post the link hopefully. But I think you can find it if you google pros and cons of early spay/neuter and it will tell you all you need to make an informed decision.

| My vet said George (4 months old) is skinny but it is so hard to make him eat more. I cook him food every day and he has plenty of dry food all day |
