| Advice on food Please! I am looking for a dog food without corn. Sophie has been itching and I have read a lot about them being allergic to corn. I have read about several dog foods and was wondering if corn gluten is o.k. I live in a small town so there really isn't anywhere to go but Wal-mart and that is not even in my town. Could someone please recommend something I could get without corn that I could buy at Wal-mart. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

| Sophie's itching is allergies. She has had an allergy shot a couple of months ago and the itching completely stopped but I am trying to find the cause of the allergy rather than just medicate. |

| good idea. I just ran upstairs and checked our food and it doesn't have any corn... Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul. It was about $30 for 35lbs and has great ingredients. Also, it has Omega 3 & Omega 6 fatty acids which are really great for their coats.

| I Think Chicken soup for the dog lover's soul is a great product as well! if you'd like to learn more about other high quality brands, i recommend Innova or Innova EVO www.naturapet.com also if you want high quality, but less expensive you can try canidae, not sure if they have corn, but you can look on naturapet.com and compare ingredients with them. good luck! |

| My little Dublin is an itcher, too, so I switched him to Canidae because it doesn't have corn, and all my dogs can eat it. They all seems to like it. But Dublin still scratches after I weaned him off of the other food and he's had 3 weeks of only Canidae. Not as much as before, but more than I think he should. There was a thread about diet that had a link to a site that did food comparisons. I'm sorry, I don't know how to link to other threads, but if you do a search, you should be able to find it. It was a great informative thread.
