I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I love the product, and tasted it and I don't think it has as much alcohol in it as people think. Yorkies are known for having problems with tartar, which leads to gum disease, tooth loss, bone loss, and can even lead to many organ related problems, including the heart. Unfortunately, some dog owners are using Petzlife as a toothpaste, causing them to use too much of the product. It's not a toothpaste but a tartar-softening product. No food or water is given ½ hour before and after an application of Petzlife. Just a very small amount is needed to coat teeth, and this is said to soften tartar, allowing you to brush it away at a later time. As a preventative, it only needs to be used 2-3 times a week, if you are using it to get rid of tartar, it needs to be used daily. Joey's been using it for 1½ years and his teeth are in great shape, no sign of any tartar.

I love the results of this product, and am sure it's really safe. You use hardly any at one time. In over a year, I've used about half the bottle. Last edited by AMD; 03-05-2009 at 02:01 PM. | |

| I've been using it on my little Haylie Mae for over a year, 1 to 2 times a week and her teeth are in great shape. Her Vet looked at her teeth and said they looked great!!! I agree about just doing it 1 to 2 times a week and brushing with doggie toothpaste the other days. Maybe your doing it to often? It works well for Haylie Mae, We love it. DebraK |
