At what age do you go to twice a day feedings?

Tatum is 18 weeks old and eats very well. She has quite a belly also. At what age do you go to 2 feedings a day? Also, what times do you feed them? Thanks for helping!

I think it really depends on weight (whether they are tinies and therefore, develop later) and whether their blood sugar shows to be stable. You could also free feed...

She weighs about 2.6 pounds. She has never had any problem with sugar levels dropping yet. If I leave food down she seems to not eat during the day. Thats why I thought I would feed morning and night. I guess I won't know until I try it. Thanks for answering me.

2.6 lbs is a little one ! I'd definately leave her food down with fresh water day and night. Even if you do not think she is eating, she might still be doing so. I leave food down all the time, and I don't always see Suzi eating either, however, I know she is because her kibble is decreasing. I also give Suzi canned food once or twice a day too....
Personally, I would not take the chance of blood sugar dropping , that can be deadly in a little yorkie like yours.

I changed to twice a day feedings when my furbaby began not really eating her noon meal anymore. I free feed her now, but she'll get a morning meal and an evening meal.
