| Some people swear by oatmeal shampoos but if the dry skin is from something internal she may need some omega 3 oils, as in salmon oil....I hear the salmon oils do wonders for skin and coat problems....I ordered this Gold Sea Pet Oil because it has vitamin e in it and they need that with the omega 3 oils to work together....Good luck and I hope she feels better soon..... Most of itching is due to dry soap in the coat . | |

| Shorty used to be itching a lot on her back, probably due to dry skin. So I got her Pet Head life's a itch shampoo, and it worked really well. also, you might want to switch to the ocean formula if you are on wellness. but if its really really bad it might be something more serious that requires vet attention~

| Maggie had the itchies really really bad too and we tried about everything without any success. Then our vet suggested to switch from Frontline to Comfortis b/c it could be a flea allergy. We did that and we have an itch free girl ever since... |

| Do you give them human oil, or are there special ones for dogs? Sorry your baby isn't feeling well.

| I started giving oil to my cat and three different people came over and they all made comments on how the cats coat looked so nice and shiny and soft. His skin was sooo flaky before the oil and now it doesn't flake at all!....It took about 4-5 weeks before I really noticed .....

| I'm not sure if you where addressing me ....but I'll answer anyway.....I use one for pets the link is in post # 2.....Most places that sell oil don't make any mention of the need for vitamin E when using fish oils. I found that info in doing my own research. The body uses up the vitamin E when processing the omega oils so it is best to put some vitamin E in back in with the fish oil....Most fish oils out there doesn't have the vitamin E in it. I wanted it in so I didn't have to do two different supplements .....I hope I helped.

| Itchy too! I just got my 9 wk old Yorkie Zeus on Saturday. I have not bathed him yet because when I asked both the breeder and vet told me to only do so once a month. I do use between bath wipes after he potties several times a day. I also brush him one to two times a day I feed him Royal Canine Babydog 30 and use the Just as fresh wipes. I noticed he is itching quite a bit as if he has fleas but I see no sign of that. What might I do for him? |
