| Leptospira Canicola-Icterohaemorrhagiae Bacterin I found out last night the hard way that small dogs cannot tolerate the above mentioned part of the vaccine Solo-Jec 7 plus. My dog had a severe reaction to this shot, and could have died from it. Thankfully my Vet is on-call till midnight, and the proper meds were given in time. I gave this shot myself. Before administering this vaccine, consult your Vet. Lucky Mom |

| Yorkie pups have been known to die from the lepto vaccine. It is very hard on them. Are you 100% sure that your Yorkie reacted to that part of the vaccine though? By the way, I have heard one report on YorkieTalk about someone's vet saying Solo-Jec may not be the best company to use and he had seen a dog with parvo whose owner had used it.

| I wouldn't use anything from the drug company Solo-Jec. Just my two cents. Even if it's a little more spendy I would stick with the better companies such as Pfizer, Wyeth (includes Fort Dodge) and Intervet. Also, now that he's reacted to some part of the vaccine (most likely Lepto but you can't be sure) I would have the vet do each vaccine next time over the course of several weeks.
