| If you use the search feature (to the left of the welcome box) several threads will come up about the honest kitchen. I use Preference and mix it with Primal grinds for my girls. |

| We've been using The Honest Kitchen for almost two years now. I love this food!!! I would recommend purchasing a couple sample packs first to see if your pup will eat it!!! All of their foods are considered all life stages, so you can't go wrong with any of them. We use Embark and Preference (since we have some health issues with Sissy), but have used Force, Verve and Thrive in the past as well. They also have some great supplements and we currently use Sparkle. Let me know if you have any questions at all!!!

| I just started using Sojos-I think it's made by the same company (?) but the only difference is that you add water and your own raw meat. So far, so good

| I use The Honest Kitchen for my boys! I mix Primal raw (lamb right now) with their breakfast and dinner, but you don't have to add anything. I prefer them on raw but we travel so much and it's difficult to take the raw so when we go somewhere they only get THK and at home it's about half and half I have really been happy with it so far. My boys LOVE it, and sit there licking their bowls until I pick them up. I think they really like the fact it is served warm spoiled boys! I supplement with omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, digestive enzymes and either cottage cheese or yogurt. They both are at an extremely healthy weight and their coats are wonderful. Ryder has stopped licking his feet as much as he did on NV raw, but that could just be a coincidence. Call the company and ask them for several samples of whatever formula you decide on. They sent me three or four (which would be several meals for your boy) and I had them in just a few days.

I use FORCE b/c that is what they prefer. You can get the sample size at this website ... for a reasonable price. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110340851489&ih=001&ca tegory=66780&ssPageName=STORE:PROMOBOX:NEWLIST#LIS T I order the large size online b/c the closest store to me is 25 minutes away and they do not sell samples. here is the website where i found the best prices. http://alpha-nutrition.stores.yahoo.net/honestkitchen.html Good luck.

Force Chicken Grain-Free Dog Food Recipe, Adult Maintenance Embark Turkey Grain-Free Dog Food Recipe, All Life Stage Verve Beef & Organic Grain Dog Food Recipe, Adult Maintenance Keen Turkey, low-gluten recipe for adult maintenance Thrive is our gluten-free, low carbohydrate dog food. This diet was designed to cater to dogs of all life stages preference is the only one that does not say and thats because its a mix. so you basically have 2 choices embark or thrive, unless you want something you have to mix meat in then preference is good. We use embark here and my babies love love love it!!! highly recommended

| I have been feeding Toto the Force for several years. Her vet heartily approves ... I add minced green beans, carrots and cooked chicken breast [about 1/8 c. Force re-hydrated with a little warm, not boiling, water] mixed altogether totals maybe 1/2 cup food. Never, ever had a problem! They have great information/receipes on their website. I also order Toto's from The Honest Kitchen because I feel it's fresher. When I order, I always order enough for our Rescue too. That's what we feed them and they love it!

| I looked into feeding it to my girls. I think it's a wonderful food but there is no place local that carries it so I went with NV.

| Just a friendly suggestion to help people out. Quote:
http://alpha-nutrition.stores.yahoo.net/honestkitchen.html is just as fresh when ordering directly from the HONEST KITCHEN b/c the expiration date is always a year ahead. I believe that is regulated under regulations established by AAFCO. I just got a delivery 1/13/09 and the expiration date is 12/09. So I know it is fresh and BTW, the box comes directly from THE HONEST KITCHEN. It appears that I am just ordering from a "go-between" and the price is MUCH less. The S&H from the HONEST KITCHEN website is twice as much as what I pay from alpha-nutrition doggiefood.com. That is also why I recommended that website. And they usually give a 5-10% discount (use discount code THANKS) Of course, if you feel better about ordering directly from HONEST KITCHEN and paying $39.84 for S&H for 4-10# boxes @ $72 ea., when I only pay only $17.14 for 4- 10# boxes, @ $65 ea. continue to do so. I was only making a suggestion, especially pertinent in these hard economic times.
