| Mickey's skin is quite dry... Hello all! Mickey has always had dry skin all over his body and especially his ears (the doc tested him and ruled out mites, flea bites, and fungus). It just seems as if he has a bad case of dandruff. However, lately I’ve been noticing that his hair is tangling quite a lot and every time I brush him I see chunks of hair on the brush. Upon further review I noticed that these chunks were stuck together by a dried-up, off-white sort of substance. It almost seems as if the substance was emitted from his skin and into his hair (his skin looks quite dry and flaky). Also, I found a small white pimple under his coat. What can that be? Anyway, I’m probably going to take him to the vet within the next couple of days, but I just wanted to know if any of you have experienced this before. I’d like to be prepared before I see the doc. Thanks in advance. Mickey’s dad |

| Hi. I looked in my Yorkie books but i could not find anything relating to the symptoms that Mickey is showing. I have never heard of this before and hopefully other posts might shed some light on this for you. I am glad you are taking him to the vet...Keep us posted and let us know what your vet says.
