| You can call your vet and ask them how much it will cost.. Prices vary in different areas.

| It cost us somewhere around $250-$300 for Franklin to get neutered. This included the pre-op bloodwork, the take home pain medication, as well as a couple (4, I think?) teeth pulled.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | My vet charges $450..I had called to find out about Toby. But that was just rediculous as I had just not that long before had Zoey spayed for $320 and they had told me the same price for Toby. Well when I called back to schedule they tried to hit me with the $450. Current financial situation definitely didn't allow for that..the $320 was going to be a stretch. Anyhow I decided to price around. I got Toby neutered at the ASPCA for $58 and that was his neuter and pain meds. I suggest you check your local animal shelter and see what they are charging.

| Depending on where exactly you are in Maryland, SNAP, Inc. (Spay Neuter All Pets, Inc.) offers neuter certificates for about $45 and spay for $60. PM me if interested in finding out their specifics. |

| I took Max to a clinic and got 9 (?) teeth pulled and his nueter for $75. No problems. He did very well. He was just over 3# at the time and the vet was not concerned with his weight at all. Just another day...

| I got Dingo neutered for free. I did a bit of research to find a low cost "fix" place and came across a vet who does it for free in his mobile home. (He does not live in it, only uses it for spay/neuter purposes). The vet doctor and his team of vet tech's are very interested in trying to keep the population of feral cats and dogs down where we live so that is why he offers his services one day a month for free to the anyone in the public. You should check around your neighborhood or city and maybe they'll have something similiar. |

| I live in maryland also...My vet charges $180.00 for the spay + $45.00 for optional blood work + $35.00 for pain meds. ...so $260.00 PLUS Chloe has to have teeth removed and that is between $10.00 and $25.00 per tooth So I am looking around some first. I love my vet but I need to get two dogs done so it would be $520.00 not including teeth.

| I know some vets do it at reduced rates and don't make money off of it (very nice of them) but there are some that charge so little and do not follow correct surgical protocol. Whoever does surgery on your Yorkie, please be very careful that the right anesthesia (quite pricey) is being used, surgery is done on a heated surface, an IV is placed before surgery and preop blood work is done. No surgery can be done for $50 unless the vet is losing money or the equipment and supplies are donated. I know there are some very legitimate organizations that do this but that may not be the case with all of them...

| I live in MD and it was about $400 total. My sister in law paid about $200 at a "country clinic". I live more in the city/burbs and have a new modern clinic with all the "extras". Gotta pay for the "nice" modern clinic I guess.
