| My mom of 4 won't stop eating cat poo So my girl had 4 pups a month ago and everytime I let her run free in the house I find her in the cat box eating their poo. Not only do I find it disgusting and it gives her bad breath that lasts for days, I'm worried because a kitten recently had giardia. The kitten was treated for it awhile back, but i'm worried that she can be spreading disease to the pups thru her milk. Any suggestions? I mean I know the first thing everyone will say is "keep her out of the litter box' but I have 4 cats and 4 litter boxes so its almost impossible unless she's at my side 24-7.. |

Thor's Human Donating Member | Is this a recent behavior? Perhaps she's missing something in her diet. Unfortunately, I've heard that a lot of dogs love cat poop.... You might need to change the litter box type to something only the cats can get into. Or perhaps put them on a ledge that your cats can get to, but your dog cannot? I remember someone put the litterbox in their bathtub. Not a solution I would go for personally, but to each their own. This would require a lot of work, but have you considered training your cats to use the toilet?? Then everything is cleaner! |
