| Sophie getting spayed today hello everyone, my Sophie is getting spayed today and I'm a little nervous. I was so amazed though, as I went to another office my vet works at (the only place she uses the laser for spaying). Before anything happened, they went over everything they were doing and they had every base covered imaginable. Sophie is even getting her own nurse to keep an eye on her. Also, I wanted to mention as I'm not sure if everyone knows yet, there is a new kind of anesthesia out. I wish I had written it down, but it started with an S. It doesn't go through the liver or the kidneys, apparently it just stays in the lungs and when you take them off of it, they wake up very quickly. I just wanted to share that with everyone, apparently it's a really good choice for older dogs. |

| Thank you so much for your response. Luckily all the bad is over, and I am very happy to have her back. I feel really bad though as I know she is in pain and occasionally whimpers. Luckily she has pain medications and in a few days I'm sure she will be back to her usual self. |

| I know how you feel. I was nervous when we had our Sophie and Isis spayed, they came thru like little troopers. Glad she is ok now. We know it was the best thing for them.

| Aww I am so glad to hear she is back home...I didn't see this in the morning, but I know how it felt for you...I just had DeDe done but she is 100% back to normal now. I think these little ones are more resiliant than we give them credit for... And I think the anesthetic is called Servolfurane if I'm spelling that right...and it's what my vet used on DeDe. It does not affect the liver or kidneys so it's much safer. |
