| Fruits for yorkies? What sorts of fruits are safe for a yorkie to eat? I know this question was probably posted before, but I would appreciate some suggestions. Thanks! |

| ours gets fruit every day..3- 5 blueberries or other berries a bout a small wedge of apple about a 6th ...or 1/4 apricot or a 6th of apeach only small portions but he eats only human food ..veggies we cook any type of greens (bok choy broccoli kale cabbage ) tomatoe raw or cooked no potatoes or yams ... he gets all small quantities about 1 tablespoon or two..then for dinner he gets what we eat ..free range chicken breast or top quality beef steak also with pasta or rice we use olive oil or butter in the food he eats about one cup of fresh food a day ...all the food is fresh and real no dog food at all ..and eats something different every day ..his poops are good firm ones and he is never sick on his tummy, and he eats with gusto as he was sick from all the dog food and vaccines and flea chemicals etc ..many years ago .. he is 11 years old and he is doing great ...and has no bad breath or bad teeth and we do not get his teeth cleaned either ...we clean his teeth daily (almost) with herbal tooth paste for humans...neem and teatree mint.we also use sea salt in boiled water cooled with a wash cloth to clean the gums occassionally... |

| Banana Apple (peeled and cored) Berries Melon No grapes or raisins. I don't really give anything too acidic.

| Thanks for this thread. I was wondering if they could eat fruit. Tyson LOVES carrots and lettuce...I thought that was strange. I'll have to try apples with him now. |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Baxter loves Bananas. He gets about 2 pretty thick slices every time Daddy has one. Darcy just likes to lick at hers, then she loses interest, and Baxter takes it.. Cooper wants nothing to do with them. They all love apples, lettuce, carrots, and peaches. Baxter also likes strawberries. I'm sure they would like blue berries too, since they eat smothered comfort by Merrick, and blueberries are in it. We just really have to watch how much fruit Baxter eats. Too much of any one thing will give him the runs. I know grapes, and peach pits are toxic to dogs. |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Aiden loves all fruits. He especially loves berries and bananas,he recently took a liking to vegies also. My bothers Yorkie loves raw carrots,so when they're together he eats them too.

| apple pieces, watermelon, strawberries, etc. No seeds (ie, apple seeds) because they are toxic and pits are also toxic (ie. peach pits)
