|  FORBID Question- Please Help Hey everyone! Havent been on in a while! I am having a problem with my pup and I wanted to see if there were any suggestions. My partner has a daschund and she pee's and poo's on a pee pad. My dog unfortunately has been eating her poo.  I try my hardest to pick the pads up and dispose of them before it happens, but sometimes I just dont get it in time!So the vet suggested getting FORBID. Has anyone tried this? And has there been any negative affects by it?? I would hate to get my partners dog sick because of my puppies bad habit!  I've read she may grow out of it, but I dont foresee that happening anytime soon. Also, does anyone know if eating poo is harming my dog?  This cant be good for her..Please respond with any suggestions you may have! I really appreciate it. Thanks! |

FORBID is safe, but I dont think it works all that great! you can try giving the dogs fresh pineapple, because it will make the poop taste really nasty!!!!

| Pineapple works really well. I added a spoon full of canned pineapple to my boys food and it did the trick.

Did it really!? I just read about that a couple weeks ago in my huge vet book i have from when i was a tech! I gave Fiona some pineapple, and she LOVED it! I'm glad it did the trick!!!!!

That is what i figured. You can also use meat tendorizor as well, sprinkle a bit on the food. I have never had an issue with any of my dogs eating poop!

| You should be giving it to your partner's dog. The pineapple makes their poop taste bad and that's how it deters them from eating it. Quote:
