Senior Yorkie Talker | The Healthy Dog Cookbook... I bought this book and it seems very well written. But I would love to hear from some homecook mommies & daddies. It has tons of recipes, nutrient break down and suggested portion size. I am thinking of going to homecook, but need a guideline of sorts. Also, I know you need a good multi vitamin with home cook. But I have yet to hear of a brand suggested or recommended. Thanks, Tracy

| I homecook but can't recommend a supplement because the one I use is for dogs with liver issues. It is called Balance IT K. The supplement used for healthy dogs in the Balance IT line is Balance IT L, but that contains something called menadione and I'd try to avoid it. Supplementation is the hardest part of homecooking. So many homecooked diets are off balance and that can do harm. I would suggest talking to a nutritionist it is more likely that everything will be just right. You can buy recipes from Balance IT's website but there again they will tell you to use Balance IT L. You can buy recipes from the same site with human vit/min ratios and that might be good, but I've never bought one, so I don't know. Are the recipes in this book formulated to meet AAFCO guidelines?
