| How long does ivermectin last? I agree with a poster who suggested that along with allergies, Latte may have mites. Last year she got a series of ivermectin shots. I wonder if she needs another round. What do you think? |

| Did the scratching clear up after the shots last year?

| Ivermectin It was a lot better, but we also had a cortisone shot and some pills, too. They did a scraping (above her eye which I didn't understand since her back is really itchy) and didn't say it showed anything. She has some dry, flaky spots on her back, and tonight I'm going to spray some Benedryl spray on them. She would love for us to scratch her back endlessly. She licks her paws and one of her legs around the knee. She's always licked her paws, especially when we go to bed. It's just that lately, she's licking her leg and paws more often and longer. |

| I guess I'd hesitate to keep giving off label doses of Ivermectin without knowing what the problem it. I wonder why the vet didn't do the Ivermectin and Cortizone further apart so he/she could better tell what is going on. How about doing a steroid shot and if that helps then you can look further into treating/eliminating allergies and if it doesn't you could see what the vet thinks about more Ivermectin?
