| Wellness canned ? This is the first canned dog dood Ive used so Im not sure this is normal. When I open the cann there is alot of fat around the edges. It takes 2 serving to finish a can so the fat congeles(sp) on the sides while in the fridge. Is it normal to have so much fat? It almost looks like its enough to have been from a full opund of cheap bacon? Its gross! |

| I have been giving Pepper canned Wellness and it has some fat but not like you describe. Although, I did open a can of the puppy wellness and it seemed to have a lot of fat.

| I do use all flavors and it seems about the same in them all. Should I mix it before feeding or throw the fat away? Do you think I should call wellness and ask? |

| i'm not sure it is fat that you are seeing- a lot of time the "goo" is part of what is used to keep the food from spoiling. What do they say the fat content is? It should say on the side of the can. I would scoop this away before i feed it because whatever it turns out to be.. it isn't essential to their diet. |

| This is rated as one very good food but I will check further. I like Solid Gold can better but Wellness is what I bought for Crystal in the Senior from ages 12-14 since she had so many teeth pulled when I couldn't find Solid Gold. At @ $2.00 a can, you better be getting quality Never feed all can to a young dog.

| Are you sure it's fat? It sounds like guar gum. Wellness canned is made at Menu, so I would really hope they have their own area at the plant for just their food to be made.

| I did not know that Wellness was made at Menu Foods in Canada. It was never in a recall that I ever saw but I still feel uneasy about them. I have a left over can of Wellness and the Senior say NOT LESS than 3% fat. Of course with the senior you are looking for less fat but with not senior you would not want alot but do need more. I never opened a can with what you are speaking of in your posts and like others have said it may not be fat.
