Yorkie Talker | Lola loves licking her paws? When I first brought Lola home I let her play in the grass two days in a row. I noticed she was scratching and biting herself alot so I get the flea collar. But I stopped taking her to the grass. After a week I saw that she scratched even more with the flea collar. So then I bought the flea and tick shampoo from Hartz. I checked her all over and no bugs but she still scratching but not as much as before. I bought her the Dungeness conditioning spray for her coat. Now another week later she's been licking the hell out of her paws for the past two days. What of these three could be causing the itchies...Help please?!!! |

| How old is she? She may be too young for food allergies but maybe environmental. I would recommend not using flea collars or Hartz products ever. Hartz products have killed several animals. HartzVictims.org - One More Victim is One Too Many If you have to use something for fleas, how about Frontline or Advantage? She could be allergic to any of the ingredients/pesticides in any of the things you listed.

| Paw licking andface scratching are signs of allergies. Chewy is allergic to grass and several kinds of trees but this started after her 1st birrthday... is your baby really young? |

| Sounds like it could be allergies. I don't know how old most dogs are when they start having food allergies but Jamie had itchies and watery eyes from the time I first got him. I changed his shampoo and his dry skin went away but he still had the itchies. I changed his food and he doesn't itch at all and now his eyes barely water except for when environmental allergens (pollen) are high. What kind of food is your baby on?
