| B.G. (Before Grain, by Merrick) Anyone tried it? I am introducing it into Callie's diet, started yesterday. She seems to like it so far, favoring it over her old kibble (yay!) that I have it mixed with. I have had a heck of a time trying to get Callie to eat her food. She is now 5 mo old, the breeder sent her on Royal Canin Baby Dog, I transitioned her to Royal Canin Puppy Dog, which she didn't want much to do with. Anyway, the BG seems to be very nutritious, I am impressed so far, the kibble are just big for her, so it takes her a while to munch them. Being the NICU nurse I am, I'm afraid she is burning more calories than consuming (common in preemie human babies) because it takes her so long to crunch the kibbles. I want the crunchiness so it benefits her dentition. Callie weighs 2.5lbs (yay! she's still gaining!) She ate just the kibbles last night, and this morning I mixed in a bit of pheasant with the kibbles. (I found this awesome natural petfood store here in Omaha - Nature Dog - GREAT stuff!) She mostly mowed down the pheasant and ate maybe 10 kibbles. Anyone have experience with this food? Website Before Grain. Anyone have suggestions for the big kibbles?

| Could you break up the food to a size that's still crunchy, but not so small that it's dust? My baby's 5 months old too She eats Canidae, so I don't know anything about BG. sorry. I wish you the best!

| Have you tried Timberwolf Organic Wild and Natural? It has very tiny kibble, smaller than kitty kibble and both my girls go nuts over it. You can sometimes find it in sample size bags at the better pet food stores.

| I haven't tried that - but I saw it at the natural dogfood store and I might try it. She gets tired of food so quick she is such a picky eater it drives me nuts! I have the smaller size of the BG bags (I got Chicken and Salmon) I hope she stays interested. Thanks for the suggestion I will try that for sure

| I was going to post about this food too - I started it about 3 weeks ago - I'm feeding the Buffalo with chicken. Mine have had no problems. I wonder if you didn't buy the small bite formula, because I believe there was a choice, what I bought doesn't seem to big
