| Wellness Core? Hi everyone, I've decided to switch the babies to this brand of food, but I'm not sure which dry kibble to pick I'm just terrible when trying to figure this stuff out, so any help is VERY appreciated. I would like to get something that all of my babies can eat. Here is what I'm working with. -The girls do NOT have allergies but Snoot does. -Paisley and Snoot are both a little overweight -Pia's weight is very low, so something that won't cause her to drop weight. My biggest concern is that they eat a food that doesn't lack anything. I was reading some of the differen't types that Wellness Core offers and I'd love to try the allergry type because of Snoot, but I'm concerned about it not being good for the others. I appreciate any help and as I said before, I'm really terrible when it comes to this stuff.

| Hi, yes its the Wellness brand. I didn't mean to put the Core part in there, oops!! I think it was Stedman's mommy that suggested the Wellness Core because Tate has allergies. I'm thinking another type might be better for us, but I honestly have no idea. Thanks for trying to help.

| I guess I should add that Snoot's allergies are only seasonal and in the summer. Pia is the only one that is 'Sometimes" picky about food but the others would eat anything.

| Max has seasonal allergies and is a little picky. He would not eat Wellness Core but is currently eating the Super 5 mix for small breeds. The super 5 has two omega oils in it that should help with allergies (per their website). Max seems to be doing better with his scratching and sniffles. I did also add a sardine to his diet around the same time of his food switch (from Nutro). My Dad said these are good for his skin and would help with the scratching. So Max gets a sardine in olive oil daily. They are nasty but he LOVES them. Ick. Not sure if it is the sardines or the wellness but he's doing better with his scratching and eats, so it is all good.

Hi, thanks for the reply. The Super 5 for small breeds was the one I was thinking of getting. It seems like it would work for all of mine. The sardine thing is gross but if it works, that's all that counts. I'm glad max is feeling better and thanks again for the help.

Is "Taste of the Wild" the brand name? I feel like the biggest idiot asking but I have no idea. My babies really like the Wellness brand treats, so hopefully they'll take to this food well. Pia is the one I worry about. She can be so darn picky at times. She loved Solid Gold Just a Wee Bit. I've never ever seen such tiny pieces of food before and this was so wonderful for her. However, I thought I read a little while back about the Solid Gold brand being involved in a recall for something, so I stopped feeding right away. I'm not saying it was this particular food or even the kibble at all, but being involved at all made me stop feeding. I get way too nervous. Anyways, thanks for the reply.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hi Dina ! Even though Wellness has had a few problems here and there - I actually REALLY like the Core line. The reason is: almost ALL "allergy" foods are too low in protein (in the 21% range) - which isn't really great long-term. The Core line has great protein content and great ingredients (relatively speaking) for an allergy food, PLUS they have Core Ocean - which is a fantastic option. So, I think you have great choices here.
