| Glucosamine? Does anyone give this for LP in their yorkies? If so, what brand/dosage? Did you see any side effects? Any improvements? Thanks!

| Hey Suzy. Layla gets Glucosamine Chondriotin. The brand is Holistic Blend Health Products for Pets. She gets 2mm- once a day... she isn't crazy abotu the taste (its a liquid) so i usually have to put cheese on it.. but she is allergic to cheese.. lol.. so needless to say she does not get the Glucosamine every day like she should. There have been no side effects and Layla usually have a very sensitive tummy to suppliements. Glucosamine will not cause the LP to go away it will just strengthen their joints and ligaments. That being said when she wentt ot the vet last time she is almost at a stage 2 and last year she was stage 1. I'll stick with it in hopes that it keeps her at a stage 2 but i know that any day.. just playing or whtever she could go to stage 3 or 4.... hope that helped |
