| Boiled Chicken or Kibbles i was wondering, should i cook my Boo rice and boiled chicken for him to eat now, or should i stick with Innova Evo dry food. i made the rice and chicken for him earlier, and he LOVES IT. but i was just wondering if this is healthy for him, or should i just let him stick with the dry food. its not a problem for me to cook for him or anything. and if it is a good thing to cook for him, should i balance the rice and chicken evenly, or give him more chicken then rice, or vice versa. thanks! if anyone wanted to see how big hes grown now! http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...m/IMG_1177.jpg |

| If you truly have the time... I would choose homecooking over any dog food out there. Raw is even better. Chicken and rice is a start but I would add more veggies and you'll need to supplement vitamins as well. There are a lot of people on here who know a lot more than I do and can give you some great advice about home cooking. Good luck! |

| http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...ot-eating.html Here is a link to the page I posted on earlier about home cooking. Also see the thread called 'Question about Home Cooking' too. They can have chicken, ground beef, or beef roast etc for the protein as well as milk proteins as yogurt, cottage cheese, other cheese, shredded etc. too. Good luck! ~Melody

| Hi, I have a friend who cooks for her babies and I have been trying it. Remember dogs are carnivores--so protein is great--I tried raw but it was too rich for them----rice can be fattening so be careful there also. My friend feeds chicken--she buys the white meat in cans and grinds it up in the chopper--then measures it, green beans are wonderful---carrots--she uses canned---plain yogurt, cottage cheese--scrambled eggs--or a raw egg of they like that--she also feeds oatmeal sometimes--she says to just watch the carbs. |
