So, my boyfriend told me today that while he was at home, Franklin was thirsty but he was too lazy to get up and put him in his playpen, so he just let Franklin have a sip of his tea (we drink the Arizona Green Tea). It was only a little so I'm not concerned.. but I was wondering, are there any human drinks that are safe for dogs? I doubt he needs it but I think it'd be fun to occasionally give him something other than water, for variety. Does anybody do this?

They don't process foods as humans do, so they can get digestive problems.
Mine have only had bottled water and on occasion, goat milk. Nothing more.

im unsure what human drinks are safe for dogs but i have let odie have a few sips of things other than water in his lifetime =].

i have let him sip soda, juice, and once a man gave him some beer haha, i prolly shouldn't be laughing but he looked so big and manly drinking beer down by the river =]

I would stay away from beer as alcohol is poisonous to dogs..

yea and i agree! it was just a one time thing, but it did calm him down for a bit haha which was nice
