| Question About Wet Food I just started giving my Yorkie wet food. I only give it as a treat since he needs to have Cosequin. So I sprinkle the Cosequin on 2 teaspoons of wet food and he eats it all up. The question I have is, how long does wet food stay fresh when refrigerated? It will be 1 week tomorrow from when I first opened it and I don't know if I should just throw it out and buy a new one? Since the smell isn't that great to begin with I can't tell if it's going bad. Any suggestions?

| Because it is meat, I'd only keep it for three days (personal preference).

| I have portioned out by tablespoon and frozen. I take 3 days worth out at a time and thaw in frig. It keeps it shape so it is easy to control servings. Seems that all I can find is the larger cans for puppy. Seems like a silly thing.

| Thanks for the feedback everyone. 3 days does make sense. I must admit I gave it to him for a week. Luckily he didn't get sick. There was still half a can left but I threw it away. Mom to Hot Rod, freezing it is a great idea. I'll try that.
