| Too much POO My 12 week baby probably poos at least 8 times a day. It is normal poo but when she only weighs 1lb 9oz this I feel is excessive. I switched dog food yesterday to see if it this would help. Does anyone out there have a baby this age? If so how many times a day do they go????? |

| Gracie went about 3 times a day, and so did Holly. It depended on how many times a day they ate. They both have been on a high quality food from the day I brought them home. Are you free feeding? If so, try stopping that and doing a scheduled feed 3 to 4 times a day. This should result in fewer BMs, and elimination on a predictable schedule which will help with potty training.

| I am feeding her about four times a day right now. I agree though 3xday should be enough now at 12 weeks. I am really bad about hand feeding her a few bites here and there. She just loves to eat though and up to this week (before her growth spurt)I was so worried about her growth. Now that I feel she is fine I'll have to stop hand feeding her!! By the way your baby is adorable! |

| That is waaaaay too much. I wouldn't want to see an adult poop more than three times a day and a pup go more than three or four times. There is a dog on YT that goes 6 times a day and is healthy but that isn't usually normal. Does your vet know? If you switch to a high quality food and it continues, I'd be concerned.

| Have you taken her to the vet? What are you feeding her? She may have an allergy to something in the puppy food that you are feeding. She may have a parasite of some type causing stomach irritation. Some puppies and dogs are allergic to the chicken bi-products in the food, you may need a lamb and rice type of food. Your vet should be able to help you with this. She should be on a very high protein puppy food, around a 30% or better would be best. Good Luck..... |

| WOW! That does seem like a lot. Hopefully, the change in her diet will help. I can't remember how many times Livi would poo when she was younger, but I know that it was not that much. She is just a few days away from being one year old and she only has 2 poos/day. (I am assuming that is her in your avatar...total doll baby!) Tammy |

| She has been treated for parasites in the past month but has finished her meds. Before though her bm's were very loose . They now are normal but very frequent. I just changed her to the Chicken Soup puppy food I hope this will cause a decrease in the bm's. |

| Both Holly (a puppy) and Gracie (18 mo.) eat dry food for breakfast. I leave it out all day for them, neither really touches it during the day. It is Timberwolf wild and natural. Very tiny kibble and they love it. For the evening meal Gracie gets Evanger canned mixed with the dry, and Holly gets some ProPlan puppy canned mixed with some Evanger and the dry.
