| ![]() Coco's puppies are now 4 weeks old. She had no trouble giving birth, and other than a little thin and tired looking, she seems fine. I feed her a special diet of puppy food with chicken twice a day, calcium twice a day with cottage cheese, and she free feeds during the rest of the day. No problems with her stools. My question is that she is still having bloody spotting. It is only spotting, about the size of a quarter, but it happens every day (or night), sometimes several times a day. I don't remember her doing this with her first litter, and my other females did not either. What do you think?? ![]()

| ![]() She most likely has a uterine infection.

| ![]() Would she run a temp with that? I checked her yesterday and temp was normal. To be safe, I'm calling the vet. I just wondered if anyone else had seen anything like it.

| ![]() It is very common for some females to have a slight bloody discharge 4 to 6 weeks after the pups are born. |
