| We give "pupcorn" for good potty behavior (we break it into smaller pieces). We use cheerios when we are at obedience class. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Nine weeks is very young. I would go easy on the treats or they might not like their regular food. Also, if you introduce certain things too early they will develop an allergy to that ingredient. There are a few treats out there for puppies, but I would wait till at least 12 weeks.

| Treats Thanks for the advice and where to purchase the Pupcorn. I think I will wait a couple of weeks before starting her on treats. She has already switched from only wanting wet food to only wanting dry. I don't want to confuse her more.

| I give Odie some of his kibble as a treat. He loves to chew so that works. I also give him liver treats but I go Really light on them because they tend to go *thru* Odie's system a bit to quickly. He also loves bananas, apples, anything that I would eat he would eat.. but he isn't getting it all..lol Odie is 10 weeks so I know that giving him something special for going potty on his pee pad is a big deal for him. He actually looks for the treat now.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I'm sorry, but sugar doesn't help regulate blood sugar, in fact it can cause low blood sugar, a very serious condition. Please consider giving him a healthy treat. Marshmellows can stick to the teeth too.

| We used just Emma's kibble as treats when she was young. She didn't know the difference I also used cheerios-if she doesn't like the plain ones, I think Honey Nut would be ok-I've heard they like the sweetness. My two also like frozen green peas, small slices of baby carrots and bananas, and bits of cheddar cheese. If you want a commercial treat, try the Itty Bitty Buddy Biscuits by Cloud Star-they are just the right yorkie size, and you can even break them in half so they last longer. They come in yummy flavors like peanut butter, molasses, & sweet potato.
