do you if it is ok to use ground turkey for sammy's recipe . i homecook for him and want to make sure if it is safe. i usually use a whole chicken in one recipe and ground beef for another. thanks

I bought a few cooking for dogs books and several of them have ground turkey in them in recipes.

Yes it's great! I use ground turkey sometimes too! Make sure it is lean, and it should be great...I think I use the 93/7 kind.

Dr. Pitcairn's Doggie Oats calls for ground turkey-it's a great recipe to use as a base, and then sub in and out other ingredients.

Yes, as Suzy said, make sure it is lean. Ground turkey is fine if it is white meat but some people put skin in it which I would not use.
