| Question about giving bones I've read a lot of threads here that say that giving marrow-type bones is one of the best things for dog's teeth. I am wondering if it's safe for a dog who's had pancreatitis to have them (or should I take the marrow OUT?). I just wasn't sure if that wouldn't be good for him. I know they aren't supposed to be cooked. Also, when you feed them other raw bones, like chicken or lamb, do you just take the raw meat off them? Do you leave any of the meat on there? The thought of uncooked meat just makes me a little uncomfortable.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Kind of depends on what you're trying to accomplish w/ the bones - are you wanting to use them for nutrition or for dental benefit? (either way, yes, remove the marrow - it's fat fat fat)

| I give Lucy marrow bones and remove the marrow. The bones I get her don't have any meat on them.
