| Question about eating Is it normal for dogs to vary in how much they eat?? Two weeks ago .. for probably 5 days.. i could hardly get Layla to eat a meal... and today and yesterday she's had 3 full meals because she is so hungry... is this normal? |

| I'm sure it happens but I wouldn't call it normal. When Ellie gets homecooked she wants to eat all the time and when she ate kibble she would automatically not eat too much when she was free fed. So her habits don't change from week to week.

| I think it's normal. It probably depends on her activity level, your schedule, the weather, and what you're feeding Try feeding her on a schedule, and also pay attention to what foods are in the mixture you're feeding each time. Also, make sure to measure the food with standard measuring cup. Write down when she eats, how much she eats, and what it is. You might be able to find a pattern if it's certain foods she doesn't like, if she eats more at certain times, etc.

| It is normal . Some of my Yorkies have big appetite , some don't . Just because a Yorkie don't eat as we wish doesn't mean they are sick . |

| LOL...I can't imagine Ellie not wanting to eat, especially homecooked.
