| Funny sound I was sitting on the couch with my furbaby and she made this funny noise like clearing her throat or a funny grunting wheezing noise she was just at the vet and had the whole work up, was spayed and had teeth extracted. It is not the first time she has made this noise but is the first time she had made it while being inactive. Any thoughts should I be concerned. It lasted about 4 seconds |

| Sounds like it could be a reverse sneeze. When Tino does it it sounds like he is "honking" like a goose. When Lola does it, it sounds like she is sniffling. It usually happens when they drink water too fast...but has happened when they were inactive as well. Check here: http://www.paw-rescue.org/PAW/PETTIP...eSneezing.html

| I'm wondering what exactly is the difference between reverse sneezing and collapsing trachea? Zoe does this and I am in the process of getting her in for xrays. The vet examined her and said she didn't think it was collapsing trachea but not sure you can really tell without an xray. I just want to be sure because I'm a worrier and I'm also looking at showing her but that's not possible if she has collapsing trachea. |
