| Gagging on carpet fuzz Hi everyone! I'm new to the community and hope to get advice from you on my new baby. Got her last Monday and already we have been to the emergency room for pneumonia. She's doing great now and is being the 3-month old puppy I keep reading about. She's into EVERYTHING. She keeps chewing on my carpets. I rent a townhome so I can't very well yank up the carpets for new flooring. She gets carpet fibers stuck in her throat and gags to get them back up. We have to wait until she "passes" them, but the gagging scares me to death. Have any of you been successful with keeping your puppies from digging up the carpets?? |

| Well, sounds like you've got your hands full! The only thing I can suggest is to find a safe chew toy and when you catch her chewing on the carpet; tell her no, and hand her the chew toy. You may very well have to get an x=pen or crate to keep her in until she learns. Best of luck to you! |

| Hi there and a very BIG Welcome to YT My Meka chewed on the carpet for a while when we first got her (9wks)... I ended up getting some bitter apple (at Petsmart) and sprayed it in the spot she kept chewing. Between that and telling her NO firmly, she stopped doing it and hasnt since. I think they chew on things out of bordem...not sure, but you might want to try getting some interactive toys to keep him busy... Definately not an expert, but I hope this helps
