| Fleas in Florida in Dec.?? I'm traveling to Florida this month & my furbabies are not on any flea treatment right now. Will this be a problem in Florida right now? Or should I start them on something? What do you use?

| I don't ever have them on flea prevention, and they don't get fleas...But then again, they're not outside very often. Maybe you could use something natural like a lemon juice and rosemary spray to repel the fleas??

| We haven't had anything on our two guys for well over six months now. We were using the Advantix pretty regularly but I wanted to try it without for a while to see what happened. I have not seen one flea or tick on either of them. I'm in the central area near Ocala. I've been here three years now and haven't had any problems (knock on wood!!). BTW have a safe trip. |

| It's recommended by Iz and Luna's vet that they stay on their Revolution year round. It doesn't get cold enough for long enough to kill the fleas here. Getting fleas has got to be the WORST thing in the world, and it's so much work getting rid of them too. I would go ahead and get something for sure!

Thanks for the well wishes - we're praying it will be warm & sunny while we're there - but it's not hard to beat 6 inches of snow & temps in the teens

I used to live about 50 miles from Sarasota and yes, there are fleas there all year round. I'd recommend getting something from your vet for the trip. Fleas are very hard to get rid of and it's much easier to prevent getting them. | |

| I have had bella for about a year. My vet said NO to flea protection unless I see one. Maybe it is just the area where I live but he tells me he doesnt see many fleas. He didnt want to treat one unless he saw one. He doesnt realize though that I treat my grass with advantix..lol Id rather put the posion on my grass than bella |

| I live in North/East Florida and I keep flea treatment on all my dogs all year round. Even tho we get some cool weather, it's not cold enough to get rid of fleas permanently. I would use some type of treatment on your trip down. Have a safe trip. Darlene |
