| Humping question My 3 month old male starting humping today, how can I get him to stop? I was caught off guard by him doing that. I never knew they did it so young. He must feel at home. LOL

| He hasn't been humping toys, it's been my leg and my son's leg. I just don't want to scare him.

| Ollie did the same thing at that age! And it was normally my arm but we always told him no and grabbed a toy and tried to get him interested in the toy but he soon would be humping again! and we just repeated this over and over and he stopped doing it as much but now he is neutered and hasnt done that since. (he is 8 months old). Oh but he will hump his 2 yorkie friends that sometimes come over to play but i have learned that is to try to show dominance. We of course tell him no and pull him away and throw a toy--etc... |

| And with mine, I have the female golden retriever that is always humping my female Shepherd...she was really going to town yesterday, had her pinned down, I opened the door and yelled at her, then she stopped...and people thought it was only males that hump..I've had more problems with the females than my male.. |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | take your arm or leg away from him and tell him no, then engage him in something else. try to play fetch or something with him or a game of chase. if he continues to hump, then maybe put him in his crate for 5 minutes to calm himself. lol

| My Sophie started humping young. She was out of control with it. When I got her spayed she stopped so I thought that fixed it. A couple of months later she was at it again. The weird part is that she only humps with her stuffed animal in her mouth. Like she'll grab the toy in her mouth and walk up to my husbands arm and start humping it. But if you grab the stuff animal and toss it she'll stop. It's the most bizarre thing I've ever seen. |
