Cough Hello all, have any of you given your "kid" Robitussin-DM for a cough? I have a 16 yr old baby that has a cough. His Dr. said it is due to narrowing of Trachea and due to age. He has been on antibiotics and been to vet several times. Can anyone tell me about the DM dosage?

Vet Did the vet tell you to give it to your baby and not give the dosage? If the cough is due to narrowing of the trach I can't see how robt. will help at all. I think I have heard of people giving it though... but I'm sure others can help w/ that.

I would ask the vet, there are a lot of human meds that dogs shouldn't have..I actually just got a paper from the vets the other day on what you can and can't give them..I know, they can have baby aspirin, benadryl(you do it by their weight and mg)like 1 mg of benadryl per pound of body weight..and never peptobismol, use kaopectate instead..it's much safer..
