| Chicken and Rice Since Riley got sick from his vaccines today, the vet told me to give him plain white rice and chicken. At the time, I didn't have time to ask what kind of chicken. What kind of chicken would be good for him? Also, why are these two foods good for dogs? |

| When my Collie raided some food once and got food poisoning the vet told me to give him nothing but chicken and rice three times a day for three days. He said it was because it was bland and would settle his tummy. I made him boiled white rice and cooked a whole chicken in the oven, stripped the chicken and chopped it up and mixed it with the rice. Unfortunately with him being a Collie I had to cook a chicken each day because three meals would take a whole chicken! He was greatly disappointed when his normal food resummed! lol

| Because it is something of sustenance but is very plain and won't upset the digestive system. Kind of like how you drink flat coke or have jell-o when you are sick. (or was that just my mom that did that?) |
