We lost Richie, my dear and precious nephew, to a tragic accident. Life has been such a struggle without him. My sister, Rich's Mom, and his Dad, Darrel, are having a real hard time. Please pray for them and Rich's sister, Cherie. I feel as if I've been in a fog the last 2 years and only existed. Losing our dear Mom so suddenly and then Rich has been so hard. I am feeling so sad and maybe a big part of me died along with them, and also my Dad, who has been gone now for 20 years.

Melissa and I took flowers to Judy and Cherie today, and put two beautiful roses on Richie's grave.

Oh, Connie, has it been 2 years ... 1 year? I vividly remember when your sweet Mom died and then last year when Richie died. I am so familiar with the fog you are experiencing. I am praying for you, my friend. God bless you and your family.

To be honest Connie, I have no idea how families go on after losing a child.
That has to be the hardest thing to bear in all of life.
Sending warm thoughts and prayer's that they find their way in time.
Such a tragic accident, I remember when you posted that.

Connie, I just wanted to send you some hugs. I remember seeing his photo and what a handsome young man he was. He was blessed to have so many people who loved him.

Connie, I send warm hugs and prayers for your family. Seems like the fog lasts forever but God gives us what we need to go on. The loss of a child is unbearable. It's only been 5 months for me but I pray in time our pain will be replaced with fond memories. It's a process Sister, I will hold you close in prayer.

oh Connie....I can't believe it's a year now....I really can't ...but then again - I can. I'm with you in the fog...(it's 2 years this month for my husband) ...

Time goes by but death really never leaves your mind or heart - it always feels like it was only yesterday they were with us....we really do lose a part of ourselves .. never to get it back.

I'm so sorry and Rich's family is in my prayers ....as you are Connie

Just found this thread today Connie. Joining you in prayer for your sister and her family. It is devastating to lose a child. It's wonderful to have our faith and friends to help up through it. Even so, it can take a long time to get on with a "normal" life.

Thinking of them and you and remembering you all in prayer.
