Yorkie Yakker | Lillian Alabama signing on Hey there friends and neighbors. So glad to see you on Yorkie Talk. I have a question for you. Do any of you know a reliable breeder who is not outrageously expensive? My budget won't let me spend a whole bunch for a puppy. I just lost my Yorkie last month. The poor thing suffered from every problem under the sun. He had skin problems, luxating patellas and a collapsed trachea. I want another Yorkie but I need to avoid having another catastrophe. Hope to hear from you soon. Laura aka Knitter |

the breeder i used was in louisiana four years ago. she was expensive though. what are you looking for (male - female) (registered) (unregistered) because i just had a litter of four and rehome two to family members and kept two. im not a breeder just good ole home raised adorable pups. my plan was only keep one so its possible i will be looking for a loving home for my 10wk old male. my DH and i are still discussing it. otherwise, their is a mississippi breeder around the gulfport area. he uses this site. good luck and let me know. to see pic take a look at my album Debbie, mother to Saide and her babies Zac and Zoie Last edited by dmcclendon; 09-08-2009 at 07:56 PM.

Louisiana Hello to everyone!! Sasha and I are excited to visit Yorkie Talk to see what's going on in the world of Yorkies. We live near Breaux Bridge, LA "Crawfish Capital of the World" She just moved in on Saturday and she is adjusting very well. Not too many accidents. I'm taking her out on the leash now and when I have to go out of the room, I put her in her kennel. Working good for now.

Pennie of Pennedepie This is my first time to participate so I am not sure if I am in the proper forum or not. My husband and I bought our first Yorkie in the Fall of 2007 in France. We were there on a sabbatical (my husband is a historian and was writing a book about an Alabama Presbyterian minister who served in WWII). Upon our return, I decided to write a little book about Pennie, our yorkie, for the children we met in France and for the children we know here through family and friends. I don't have illusions of being a great writer but I do know that Pennie has given a lot of pleasure to a lot of people and Yorkie lovers in particular have told me how much they love the true story of her move to the US and especially the pictures. So....my question is: how do I get information about Pennie of Pennedepie (published on line with Bookemon) to the yorkie community who might enjoy the story? Susan of Birmingham

Flea control question Hello everyone, I guess we are all in the same boat when it comes to insects. Yuck!!!! I was wondering how often does everyone use their flea control (for the owners who bathe weekly) and what kind do you use. How has it worked for you?

We bathe weekly, and use K-9 Advantix monthly because it says that it kills mosquitoes as well as fleas and ticks! South Louisiana, you know!
