it is so nice to meet all of you, I am glad to have yorkies lovers so close to me. I do love yorkies so very much, wouldn't it be neet if we all could meet some where so our babies could meet one another, just a thought, glad youguys are here,

We have a great new dog park

off of Rt 210 and 301 (near 95) in Fayetteville NC.

I have two yorkies and go there often....Live in Lillington.

now that it is cool, we can set up a day (sepatate section for small dogs..very clean...and has picnic tables and a Mcdonalds nearby.

Roxanne, I also go there all the time. I LOVE it. We really needed that here.

Safe, quiet and lots of fun! I love seeing/talking with all the other dog lovers. And it is VERY clean! And lots bigger than other small dog areas that I have seen!

I usually try to go once a week (mondays late afternoon) and lately I have been going twice a week. (monday and thursday).

Dora my yorkie LOVES going, Joey my chi, not so much. Last Thursday a pit bull puppy was being too hyper, and knocked Joey over and he rolled about 5 times, poor guy! LOL The owner took him over to the bigger dog section, where he fit right it!

Would love to meet up sometime soon and let our pups play together! Let me know next time you go if you want to do a playdate! I have never seen another yorkie there! BUT would LOVE to!

I was there yesterday (sunday am)...very pretty day and crowded...I've seen other yorkies there, but not a lot...

I work on Monday and Thursdays ( public Library), but usually have Fridays off and Sundays....

maybe we can post something and have a little playdate.....

I do wish they had a bathroom (portopotty?)..I hate leaving winston in the car when I run into Mcdonalds to pee

Fayetteville isn't that far from Wilmington....Hubby, yorkies and I go to Fort Fisher several times a year....

In Charlotte but my friend (yorkie) Picasso was sent to rest in the fields of heaven yesterday and I am very sad. If anyone has a suggestion for a rescue Yorkie, prefer a younger puppy or perhaps a male for purchase, also a puppy. Please let me know.

I'm so sorry to hear you lost your furbaby. I lost one in July so I know how very sad you are. Most rescues are not puppies and when you apply to a rescue group you have to get on a waiting list. I know a good breeder in Stanley but her dogs are quite expensive, (1200 to 1500). Rama Yorkies in Huntersville sell their puppies for a 1000.00 (Rama Yorkies). Check the ads in the paper but I suggest you buy from a good breeder. Your baby will be much healthier and that means less vet bills. Please don't buy from a pet shop or a back yard breeder (BYB). Good luck on your search.

Forgot to mention that majesticyorkies on here is a breeder. She's in Granite Falls, NC and has a post just up the page a bit. There's more but right now I can't remember who they are. Time for my coffee so I can wake up.
