| Question about yorkie's private area Hoping to get faster response here since more viewers than sick or injured forum. Tonight we have noticed Hallee licking her pee pee(don't know what else to call it here). Anyway, when I touched it she pulled and squirmed away. Hubby got warm wash cloth and was washing it off. Hubby said it looked a little red and hair was crusty. Is this sign of urinary tract infection or something? Just concerned. Gracie let us touch her and did not bother her at all. Hubby just put Hallee in the sink and washed her with warm water and soap down there. They both just went to the groomer on Friday. Will see how she does the rest of the night.

| I'm sorry I don't know any advice or wisdom to share but, just wanted to let you know that I will be thinking about her and hope everything is fine. Maybe it just got irritated from going to the groomer ? ? |

| Maybe she got her period and the blood made her hair crusty. (you know..dry blood) and she was trying to pick it off without you because Yorkies are quite the independent ones..haha.. How old is she? I say if it persists for too long, striaght to the vet. ASAP.

| The hair around it was kinda matted. It was not like mucus or anything. Hallee did not seem so sensitive after it was washed.

| It was probably just irritated with hair and stuff...I could imagine that might be uncomfotable.

| Maybe she got a little cut from the groomer. That happened to mine once down in that area. Hope she is better. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Could be irritation from the grooming. When Cali had her Urinary Tract Infection she kept licking down there and had accidents. If it keep up I would take in a urine sample.

| Did she have a sanitary trim down there? I usually shave Lacy's to keep her clean. She might have gotten razor burn so it's a little raw and irritated. Could also be an allergy or just some type of irritation that is causing her to lick it and matt up the hair.
