max is home and theres bad news
max came home today.The doctor did not give me the blood work results she will mail them to me when there done also a homemade diet made for him. so hes what she told me the liver biopsy: there are significant changes to the liver,which is markedly cellular and irregular. there is a prolific vascular reduncy ,with entier liver.There are focal accumulates of inflammatory cells,focal necrosis of hepatocytes and marked focal congestion theres also cholestais

DIAGNOSIS; severe mvd with seconday degnerative changes to the liver . she told me that maxs liver function is going to worsen with time trthe symptoms will be '' pot belly'' brusing or bleeding increases thirst and worsining disorienation periods. also seizures.

THE new meds besides the ones i have already told you
denosyl ,usodiol and hes still on milk thisle and ve i will be getting munic instead
so any advice please help any thing she told me that he wont have very long

So sorry your sweetheart is sick! I don't know anything to tell you that will help. Take take of him though- thank God he has someone who cares.

I'm so so sorry. It's going to be so hard on you, but I hope you can find some comfort in knowing that this was something that was meant to be and that he is so lucky to have you in his life, as short as it may be. Just love him the way you do and that's the best any dog (or person) could hope for; to be loved when they need it. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your little one

Oh, my friend, I'm so sorry to hear these results - I'm sending a burst of positive thoughts. I bet YorkieLuv will have good advice (and others) -as I think she knows a lot about liver compromised situations. Please keep us posted.

I am so sorry to hear this. I have been having this same issue with my Roxy. I just got back from the vet tonight. She had another complete CBC because on the 1st one the results were wacky. She had another bile acid test because she also has MVD. It seems as though it is something else every month. She has been having seizures since she has been 2 months old. She has also been on Phen. Barb. since then. The dose was just increased because her levels were low.
She recently started panting all of the time. She likes to lay down on the tile when she is panting. This just started last month. The vet said this might be something else(I forget the name)
I will get the results back hopefully by wed. Oct.8th.
I will say prayers for your baby, please say some for mine too!

I am so sorry that Max is so sick. Perhaps this little guy was meant to come into your life so you could be a great mommy, take care of him and give him a great life till the end. I hope he has brought much happiness into your life and you will continue to enjoy him for as long as he is here.
