Will you please pray for my friend's dog, Gizmo - he's a little Maltese. He's kind of stubborn & ornery and sometimes tries to eat weird things. Recently she found that Gizmo had chewed up the brush end of a toothbrush!

This past week Gizmo started acting really strange - making weird noises, and running in his kennel like he saw a ghost, etc. She has been to the vet several times and after an x-ray today the vet decided he needs surgery on his stomach.

Pray for a successful recovery of whatever is in this little guy's stomach & a quick recovery. The surgery is scheduled for tomorrow - Tuesday. My friend is as nuts about her little dog as we are all about our yorkies - I've been telling her there is a maltesetalk & that she should get on, but she's not a computer girl. (which translates she has more time than me - because where am I? YT all the time - lol!)

Thanks for the prayers! Gizmo seems to be doing well after his surgery.

But there is a little wrinkle. I found out this morning that the night before Gizmo was to be x-rayed he was suppose to go without food & water. So my friend had done a good job, with that. But apparently Gizmo was really hungry & in the middle of the night had eaten about half of a small rubber ball.

So now Terri thinks that may be all that was inside him, as that is all that the doctor found today during the surgery. The doctor said the pieces were so big that Gizmo would never had passed them.

But this still doesn't solve the issue, because he was having problems before he ate this particular ball. Unless there was also another ball he ate earlier in the summer. I also found out that some of his blood work is off. So I'm thinking he may have some other problems besides a ball in his stomach.

Of course my friend is also worried because Gizmo is on an IV & has to spend the night at the vet's office & she doesn't know if they come in to check on him at night or not.
