Boo Boo is chewing her hair off I have a four year old yorkie. Every summer she scratches non stop and chews on herself leaving almost bald spots here and there. Ive mentioned it to my vet she stays on flea meds and I bathe her in an oatmeal base shampoo. Any suggestions would be appreciated...oh and she is pregnant due any day now. x-rays showed 4 pups

Allergies possibly... My 4 yr old female does the same thing. I have to take her to the vet for a cortisone shot. She will get under the bed & scratch herself and keep us up all night! Hope your baby will be better soon! Good luck on the new babies! Pam

sounds like allergies to me! we found out this summer that Layla has them too... she's had two bouts.. one early summer when the dandilions were fluffy and then again these past two weeks... and she is just starting to come around... i was able to give her benadryl to help and luckily didn't need to go to the vet so you might want to try that first but it sounds like it is really intense for her.. poor thing!
