Once I had one of my girls jump from the bed, yelp and would NOT apply pressure on her leg at all. I waited until the second day to take her because when I pressed and moved her leg she didnt show pain but still didnt apply pressure. I took her in, they did an xray and it showed nothing. The next day she started to apply a little pressure in a week it was like nothing happened. She had pulled a tendon. I would press gently on her paw and move her leg a little and see how she reacts. If she is in pain I would take her in if she were mine but if she does show any pain, I would give it a day. Hope it is just something minor. Good luck!

If it is broken she will scream her head off. Likely a soft tissue injury. I would keep her quiet and take her in for a check when the Vet is open. I am sure she will be fine, just sore.

Sounds like what happened to my Lucy when she was a baby. She was fine in no time. Good advice.

I'm glad everthing is fine now . It sure can send you into a panic. It is helpful if people around new Yorkie pups learn the "Yorkie Shuffle" (taking pee pee steps) and it is also helpful not to let anyone wear shoes (they do more damage and you can't feel the puppy contact as quickly) with the new baby around. The pup will eventually learn to move out of the way. Again, I am happy that all is well
