YT 500 Club Member | Ok maybe im just overprotective.. Armani has been acting very sluggish all day and yesterday and today his ears have been droppy. He ate chicken that I fed him. Poop is normal. He is 4.5months so maybe he is teething. My vet is closed on weekends but I will take him somewhere else if you suggest it, im new at this, I am not really sure what to do. My mom thinks that When I have a skin kid im gonna be an overobessive mom. hmm.. Armani is my kid.. so im not sure what she means

| Sorry too hear your puppy is not feeling well. You are not overprotective - better safe than sorry. I have always heard these small dogs can go down hill really fast. I am going through a situation with mine right now. Sorry I don't have any suggestions for you, I'm sure someone will respond to your question better. I hope you and your pup feel better soon.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | You're not alone, we all worry so much about these little ones! Sounds like it could be teething with the droopy ears. Does he perk up after he eats? Are his gums nice and pink? Maybe give him some nutrical if he seems stressed or low blood sugar.

YT 500 Club Member | He will eat anything hard but he chews his bone non stop. I gave him an ice cube and I have never seen him happier. I have been giving him boiled chicken, he will eat that. This morning his ears are back up a little. I can see in the back of his mouth that a second row of teeth is starting, so I guess that means we will need to get his teeth pulled

Also, I bought those water-filled teethers for human babies and Marcel likes to chew those sometimes. He hasn't started teething yet, but when he does I'll put them in the freezer for him first. And, btw, he has not been able to "puncture" the human teethers at all - they're just filled w/ water anyway, so they're safe. I think I found one at Target for $1!

YT 500 Club Member | Feb 2, 2007. DO you think teething makes them tired as well ? Armani has been sleeping more than usual this weekend. I dont have any skin kids so i dunno what kids go through when teething

| With skin kids, they can become crabby and tired while teething. Some get fevers too. By the way Tatiana is one of my favorite names in the world! |

YT 500 Club Member | Thanks!! I am russian and in Europe there is actually a Tatiana's day. I tend to go by Tanya as a lot of people have a hard time pronouncing my name

| Teeth Pulling I waited to get my dexter neutered until he was 6 months and they had to pull 10 teeth out at the same time - I should have done earlier as now he has a snaggle tooth and teeth off line - you cannot tell but when another vet looked in his mouth she thought he had a jaw injury and I said I waited too long to have his teeth pulled She said that could cause it I feel guilty about this and sad - my girl yorkie only had to have one tooth pulled but dexter had jaws teeth - I recommend if they pull a lot you go home with pain medication and have them given the pain shot before leaving after being neutered and teeth pulled as dexter was in a lot of pain that first night I would not wait too long if the baby teeth are not coming out on their own |
