| Chuey Back In The Hospital!! Hello everybody. Unfortunately, I have some bad news. Chuey was readmitted to the hospital today. Dr says it may be something worse than pneumonia, like a possible virus. Chuey had a fever again today. Chuey's lungs are improving, but very, very, slowly. Dr wanted to see better progress by now. Chuey is breathing much better though. Chuey is so weak he can't even get up to use the bathroom very much anymore. He peed on me a couple of times and several times on his blankets and box. I just don't know what to do anymore. I am so stressed out and really wish I could get him some answers and help. I guess what I am doing is helping him but not without causing grief at home (over money) and pain in my heart. I keep asking myself what I could've done different. Who was that girl I got him from? And what if he was sick when I got him? Did I save him from dying an earlier death from being with somebody who did not know how to take care of him. You should've seen him when he came home with me on the first day. He was just a regular puppy ready to explore the world. Granted he was a little dirty and scaly (fungus/yeast on his scalp), but I had to have him anyway. Well, if anybody knows any information on what kind of possible virus or illness can cause this, please let me know. Chuey is going to be on antibiotics via IV, (enrofloxacin), and other fluids. He seemed so sad when I left him. But he held his little head up when he say me starting to cry. I just don't know what I am going to do. Thank you for reading my post and offering us any help. Chuey says thank you for your prayers as well. Good night, Raquel

| Raqual, I'm so sorry to hear Chuey is so sick. I'm sure the vet will take good care of him and he shall be fine. I think from what i read in your email that you did do the right thing. Or "kids" get sick from time to time, some more than others. I don't think you could have done much more. You are doing the best you can and you know taking him to the vet was the best thing for him honey really. I will pray for his speedy recovery. Try to rest up because you do need it. Can't you go and visit with him at the vet? I know when I have had to leave a pet at the vet I called all the time to ask how they were and they were always helpful and understanding. I'm sure your vet's office isn't much different. People who work in vet offices usually understand how attached we humans get to our furbabies. | I'm so sorry about Chuey Poor little guys sounds like he's trying to be brave for you. If you can go visit him I would. He needs to see Mommy as much as possible, but I'll bet he's being loved on at the vet's, too. When Lucy was spayed and stayed overnight, the staff fell in love with her and loved on her constantly and I'll bet that's what's happening with Chuey too. I hope you can get some positive answers soon. Bless you both

| Racquel - I am so sorry that Chuey isn't better. I thought he had recovered. We'll be thinking of you and praying for him. I would just be guessing at what else could be wrong with him since it isn't pneumonia, but did they test for Parvo and Lepto? Sissy sends along hugs for you and Chuey too.
